How do you enjoy your American Quarter Horse?
Do you enjoy competing in local competitions such as:
♦ barrel racing ♦ pole bending ♦ trail riding ♦ jumping ♦ open shows
If the answer is yes, the Rocky Mountain Quarter Horse Association would like to offer you another way to receive recognition for your accomplishments. Even with all the AQHA or RMQHA-approved activities offered, there is not always an approved or sponsored event in your hometown. But, your community probably offers plenty of competitions such as Copper Cowboys Gymkhanas for horses and riders that fall outside of the “AQHA or RMQHA – approved show.”
In other words, earn merits and recognition for you and your horse doing what you already enjoy!
The RMQHA Outreach Program will accept most types of activities as long as the competition is sponsored by an organization or club that keeps official records on the performance of all horses entered in the event. But, remember this program is designed for events outside the approved show ring - you cannot earn Outreach Program merits at AQHA-approved shows or events. In order for the RMQHA to include your event or competition in our Outreach Program, the sponsoring organization must have an established governing body and a representative to sign the exhibitor’s report form.
